Star Aluminium truck access platforms are lightweight, durable access structures designed for safe operator access to truck trays, flatbeds and loading vehicle surfaces. Built for durability and versatility in busy loading and distribution environments, the platforms combine weather-resistant aluminium construction with a practical setup that requires no tools or mechanical assistance to position and deploy.
Two standard models cover the most common truck length requirements: the 2M TAP with a 2,000 × 700 mm platform at 1,400 mm height, and the 4M TAP with a 4,000 × 700 mm platform at the same working height. Both use a 45° stair access configuration and a 13 mm grid mesh deck for drainage and anti-slip performance in all weather conditions.

All Star Aluminium products are designed and manufactured to Australian Standards for height access and industrial equipment.
Every unit is supplied with a compliance plate and engineering certification.
Our standard products comply with WHS requirements and carry a Lifetime Structural Warranty.
Every month, we recommend that you inspect every working platform to make sure they are safe for use.
Check the platform's surface and weld points in order to ensure there is no external damage or corrosion from weather conditions that can cause a safety issue.
If any damage is found on the equipment when checking your monthly inspection routine, please mark the equipment as "out of service" and call us so we may discuss what needs to be repaired.

What deck and safety features are included as standard?

Every Star Aluminium Truck Access Platform includes a 13 mm grid mesh deck for drainage and anti-slip grip in all weather conditions, safety yellow full-surround guardrails, anti-slip treads, swivel lockable castors for repositioning and secure placement, forklift pockets and lift points for crane or forklift handling, a bolt joining kit, a boom arm and a fitted compliance plate. The 45 degree stair access configuration provides safe ascent and descent. Major components are fully welded; the platform is supplied flat-packed for simple on-site assembly.

Are custom lengths and configurations available?

Yes. Star Aluminium Truck Access Platforms are available in custom platform lengths beyond the four standard models. Optional configurations include anti-slip bull nosing, D bumpers for dock interface protection, additional or custom guardrail arrangements and the all-terrain kit for uneven or outdoor surfaces.
