Star aluminium gangways provide elevated walkway access across industrial, marine and civil infrastructure environments. Five standard sizes span total lengths from 2,000 mm to 6,000 mm, with a walkway width of 1,200 mm and a handrail height of 1,000 mm throughout. The 2.5 kPa load rating supports regular industrial and personnel traffic without structural limitation.
Grid mesh deck options are available for environments where drainage and slip resistance are critical, particularly in wet or marine settings. Full-height handrails run the entire length of the gangway, providing continuous edge protection for operators boarding and disembarking. Integrated joining connectors allow multiple gangway units to be linked end-to-end, creating stable walkway spans to any required length. Lifting points built into the frame allow the gangway to be safely hoisted by crane or overhead equipment.
Gangway systems can be configured as fixed permanent installations or removable access systems depending on operational requirements. Modular section design supports efficient transport to site and rapid on-site assembly without specialist fabrication. Check the platform's surface and weld points in order to ensure there is no external damage or corrosion from weather conditions that can cause a safety issue.
If any damage is found on the equipment when checking your monthly inspection routine, please mark the equipment as "out of service" and call us so we may discuss what needs to be repaired.
