It was an honour to welcome the Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon Richard Marles MP, to our Carrum Downs facility. He met our team and saw how we design, engineer and fabricate aluminium access solutions here in Australia.
A Visit to Our Carrum Downs Facility
The visit began with a meeting where our team talked through engineering drawings and a scale model of aircraft maintenance platforms. From there we walked the factory floor, past finished work platforms and stair platforms, and through the area where our team cuts, grinds and assembles aluminium frames.
During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister said, “This is the very best of Australian innovation on display.”
What We Do
Star Aluminium was established in 1999. We design, engineer and fabricate work platforms, stairs, ladders and custom access systems at our head office and manufacturing facility in Carrum Downs, with regional hubs in Queensland and Western Australia. Our work includes aviation maintenance platforms built to suit the airframe, access systems for defence, and projects for mining, transport and civil infrastructure.
