Star Aluminium Mobile Scaffold
- Star mobile scaffolds are manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminium alloy (the same grade used in aerospace and structural applications) for an optimal combination of strength, corrosion resistance and reduced weight. All components are fully welded; nothing is bolted or clipped together in a way that can loosen over time under site vibration. The 48 × 4.5 mm thick structural corner posts set a higher standard than the 38 mm or 40 mm tubes used in lighter-duty scaffold systems.
- Three platform widths are available: single (750 mm), double (1200 mm) and triple (1800 mm). Maximum platform height reaches 5,500 mm with outrigger stabilisers in position. Load ratings are 225 kg for single-width and 450 kg for double and triple widths. Heavy-duty 200 mm castors with individual 500 kg ratings per wheel allow the assembled scaffold to be moved across factory floors and concrete surfaces without disassembly. An internal ladder system integrated within the scaffold frame gives operators safe movement between platform levels without climbing the outside of the structure.
- Applications range from construction and painting through to roof plumbing, rendering, event staging and industrial maintenance. Modular height extensions allow the same base frame to be used across a range of project heights. Custom platform sizes and specialist configurations are available to match unique worksite requirements.
Aftercare & Maintenance
- All Star Aluminium products are designed and manufactured to Australian Standards for height access and industrial equipment.
- Every unit is supplied with a compliance plate and engineering certification.
- Our standard products comply with WHS requirements and carry a Lifetime Structural Warranty.
- Every month, we recommend that you inspect every working unit to make sure they are safe for use.
- Check the unit's surface and weld points in order to ensure there is no external damage or corrosion from weather conditions that can cause a safety issue.
- If any damage is found on the equipment when checking your monthly inspection routine, please mark the equipment as "out of service" and call us so we may discuss what needs to be repaired.
Frequently Asked Questions
What aluminium alloy is used in the Star Mobile Scaffold?
All Star mobile scaffold components are manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminium alloy, the same grade used in aerospace and structural applications, for an optimal combination of strength, corrosion resistance and weight.
What platform widths are available?
Three platform widths are available: single (750 mm), double (1,200 mm) and triple (1,800 mm). Three base lengths (1,800 mm, 2,400 mm and 3,000 mm) are available per width configuration.
What is the maximum platform height?
Maximum platform height is 5,500 mm with outrigger stabilisers in position.
What are the load ratings?
Single-width scaffolds carry a 225 kg platform load rating. Double and triple-width configurations carry 450 kg.
Can the assembled scaffold be moved without disassembly?
Yes. Heavy-duty 200 mm castors rated at 500 kg each allow the assembled scaffold to be moved across factory floors and concrete surfaces. An internal access system integrated within the scaffold frame allows safe movement between platform levels.
