Star Aluminium Indalex Range
- The Star Aluminium INDALEX heavy duty ladder range is designed for industrial environments where standard-grade ladders are not adequate for the access demands or frequency of use. The range incorporates the best available methods for joining industrial-grade aluminium structural components, using heavy-duty riveted connections that eliminate the risk of joint separation under load or vibration during sustained daily use.
- The 3-piece rung joint system reinforces each step at the rear section, the critical point where load transfer between the tread and the side rail creates the highest stress concentration in conventional ladder designs. Steps are fastened securely to both side rails at every tread position, providing a consistent load path throughout the climb and maintaining structural rigidity over a long service life with minimal maintenance.
- The INDALEX range is rated to 150 kg and manufactured to AS/NZS 1892.1:1996 standards, supporting WHS compliance on industrial sites where ladder access is required daily. Multiple rung configurations are available to suit different access applications. All INDALEX products are backed by a Lifetime Structural Warranty.
Aftercare & Maintenance
- All Star Aluminium products are designed and manufactured to Australian Standards for height access and industrial equipment.
- Every unit is supplied with a compliance plate and engineering certification.
- Our standard products comply with WHS requirements and carry a Lifetime Structural Warranty.
- Every month, we recommend that you inspect every working unit to make sure they are safe for use.
- Check the unit's surface and weld points in order to ensure there is no external damage or corrosion from weather conditions that can cause a safety issue.
- If any damage is found on the equipment when checking your monthly inspection routine, please mark the equipment as "out of service" and call us so we may discuss what needs to be repaired.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the Indalex range different from a standard aluminium ladder?
The INDALEX range uses heavy-duty riveted connections and a 3-piece rung joint system that reinforces each step at the rear section, the critical point where load transfer creates the highest stress concentration in conventional ladder designs. This makes it suited to environments where standard-grade ladders are not adequate for the frequency or intensity of use.
What is the load capacity of Indalex ladders?
All INDALEX ladders are rated to 150 kg, supporting single-operator industrial access.
What Australian Standard do Indalex ladders comply with?
The INDALEX range is manufactured to AS/NZS 1892.1:1996, the Australian and New Zealand standard for portable metal ladders.
How many models are available?
Ten standard models are available, covering platform heights from 0.6 m to 3.6 m. Custom configurations are available on request.
What rung configurations are available?
The INDALEX range is available in D-rung and standard-rung configurations, with an anodized finish for corrosion resistance and lower dirt retention.
