What applications suit custom crossover platforms?
Crossover platforms are used wherever personnel need to safely cross conveyors, pipework, trenches, production lines or plant equipment. Common applications include food processing, warehousing, mining, manufacturing and utilities infrastructure.
How is a crossover platform designed for my specific site?
Our consultants assess your site, including the span required, traffic loads, head clearance, equipment geometry and safety requirements. A crossover platform is then engineered around those parameters, designed to AS 1657 with a compliance plate issued at handover.
What safety features are included as standard?
Standard features include full-height handrails on both sides, anti-slip deck surface, self-closing access gates and load-rated toe boards. All are included as standard, not as optional upgrades, to meet AS 1657 requirements.
Can crossover platforms be installed over live production lines?
Yes. Installation methodology is reviewed during the design phase to minimise production disruption. Our team confirms access windows, lifting requirements and fixings in advance so installation can proceed around your operating schedule.
What compliance documentation is provided with a crossover platform?
A compliance plate and design documentation are issued at handover. Load rating, applicable standard and date of manufacture are recorded. Full engineering documentation is available on request to support your facility compliance pack.
